Vapor Lock™ Concrete Admixture

Houston Methodist North Tower Expansion

The Houston Methodist Hospital North Tower Expansion construction team selected Vapor Lock 20/20 Concrete Admixture to proactively stop moisture, flooring, and roofing issues in this 22 story, one million square foot building.

This building in Houston, Texas used Vapor Lock 20/20 in all floors from the slab on ground to the roof deck which facilitated schedule integrity. SPG’s extensive field Quality control program ensured that each phase met SPG’s stringent requirements.

7 days after the concrete placement of the roof, SPG gave authorization to install the roof material. 3 days later, Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 hurricane with over 130 mph sustained winds, struck the adhesive affixed roofing system. The roof withstood nature’s attack and is there to this day.
